A First Look

One highlight from September was when my friend Nawa came to visit me on her way to India. She only spent four days with me before having to continue her journey, but our time together was amazing. Nawa is the perfect traveler, possessing both patience and curiosity. She visited with my host family and neighbors, explored Beni Mellal, met other volunteers, and traveled by souk bus and grand taxi. To this day, my host family still asks after her. I have Nawa to thank for these first photos of Foum Oudi.
Nawa and I enjoy avocado juices in Beni Mellal.
Foum Oudi sits behind me at the end of the one road that runs through town.
Nawa helps prepare harsha for tea time at my host family's.

Yours truly, just strolling along.

The Beni Mellal region is known for it's olives,
hence the abundance of olive groves.

  1. How is Nawa?? I hope she's enjoying her time in India... and it's not just host family members that ask about her! :)
